SkinRx.help Ingredient & product reference
Media kit

A reference for what is actually in it.

SkinRx.help identifies the ingredients on K-beauty and J-beauty labels against the European Commission's own reference, and says plainly where the limits apply.

Where the data comes from

All of it, stated

Regulatory

The European Commission's glossary of common ingredient names, published as Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/1175, together with Annexes II to VI of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 — prohibited substances, restricted substances, colorants, preservatives and UV filters — and UK divergence where it exists.

Reproduced with attribution. The Regulation is the binding text; this site is informative only and is not a compliance tool.

Products

Ingredients lists from the SkinRevu catalogue, read directly and never altered. Each label is stored as a version, so a reformulation creates a new record rather than overwriting the old one.

Method

How a label is read

Labels are transcribed by people, from small print, often translated. They arrive with brackets around common names, strengths in ppm, slashes inside single ingredient names, and ordinary spelling errors. Each list is split into tokens and matched against the glossary, then against a table of alternative spellings built up by hand as they are encountered.

Three things are deliberate:

Declaration order is called declaration order. It is the sequence the label states, not a measure of concentration. Below roughly 1% the order carries no meaning at all, and where that line can be estimated it is drawn and labelled as an estimate.

Unidentified ingredients are shown, not hidden. Where a token cannot be matched with confidence, the page says so. A visibly incomplete list is more useful than a complete-looking one that is quietly wrong.

Nothing is invented. Where two ingredients have been run together on a label, the site does not create a substance to account for it.

Who is reading, last 30 days

Counted from the browser's own time zone and user agent. No cookies, no third-party tracking, no IP lookup — so the figures are approximate, and stated as such.

Not enough visits yet to report anything meaningful — the site launched in August 2026. 13 page views recorded in the last 30 days. This section fills in on its own, and no figure here will ever be an estimate dressed up as data.

Working together

What is on offer

Data access

A read-only API is in development: ingredient records, product formulations, and an endpoint that takes a raw ingredients list and returns it resolved. If that would be useful to something you are building, say so — early users shape what gets built.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us. Brands are welcome to submit a current ingredients list for any of their products; it will be recorded as a new formula version with the previous one kept.

Press and research

Happy to answer questions about method, coverage or the regulatory sources, and to provide figures for any of the above.

Limitations

What this is not

Worth stating plainly, because most references of this kind do not.

The catalogue is small and UK-focused, and it grows slowly because every product is read individually. 1% of ingredient tokens are not yet identified, mostly where a label has been transcribed with errors. Function and summary information is present on a minority of ingredient records and is being filled in by hand.

The site carries no information about concentrations, because labels do not state them. It is not a compliance tool and must not be used as one: for that, the Regulation is the authority.
