- Diisotridecyl lauroyl glutamate is a synthetic ester made from glutamic acid combined with a lauroyl (coconut/palm-derived) group and branched isotridecyl alcohol chains. It's used in cosmetic formulas to help mixtures of oil and water stay blended, to help attract moisture, and to help other ingredients spread evenly.
