- Trifolium pratense symbiosome extract comes from red clover. It is taken from symbiosomes, tiny structures inside the plant's root nodules that house nitrogen-fixing bacteria. In cosmetic products it acts as an antioxidant, helping stop the product reacting with air, and as a skin conditioner, helping keep skin soft and in good condition.
