- This is a filtrate produced by fermenting Saccharomyces yeast together with root extracts from angelica (Angelica gigas), Cnidium officinale, Chinese peony (Paeonia lactiflora) and Chinese foxglove (Rehmannia glutinosa). It is used in cosmetics as a humectant that helps hold moisture in the skin, and to condition and protect the skin's surface.
