- Magnesium Lithospermate B is the magnesium salt of lithospermic acid B (also called salvianolic acid B), a polyphenolic compound found in the root of Salvia miltiorrhiza. In cosmetic products it is used to condition hair, hold moisture, help protect the skin, limit the growth of microbes and slow oxidation.
